Description
This Colt Frontier Six Shooter is a historic 1st Generation Colt Single Action Army revolver, manufactured in 1893 and chambered in the classic .44-40 Winchester cartridge. Often chosen by cowboys, lawmen, and ranchers of the Old West, the Frontier Six Shooter offered the versatility of firing the same ammunition used in Winchester lever-action rifles.
This example features a 4.75" barrel with the original barrel marking “COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER .44,” along with walnut grips and matching serial numbers on the frame, trigger guard, and backstrap (#152740). The revolver retains an even, honest patina, with mechanical function consistent with its age.
As a true antique (pre-1898), this Colt requires no FFL transfer in most jurisdictions and represents a significant piece of American frontier history. Highly collectible, this revolver is an ideal addition for Colt collectors and Old West enthusiasts.
